DYF Takes Mt. Whitney  (14,505 Feet)!

On July 27 ten teens will embark on a 90-mile trek to the highest peak in the lower 48 states. The group will start at Bearskin Meadow Camp and cross to the Mount Whitney Zone, summiting up to 14,505 feet. This program is for teens who want to be physically, emotionally, and mentally challenged and who are ready to work in a tight-knit team in order to succeed. The trip will be filled with many challenging moments, and decision will be made in the best interest of the group. While Ascending Mount Whitney is not technically difficult, it does require good planning, stamina and persistence. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. Participants will be screened prior to the trip to assess suitability.
