One of DYF’s camp programs, Bearskin Meadow Camp, is one of the oldest and largest resident camps for children, teens and families affected by type-1 diabetes. We’re located in the Sequoia National Forest, 65 miles east of Fresno, CA at an elevation of 5,800 feet. Over the course of each summer we welcome approximately 800 participants.
Celebrating our 74th season of camp, Bearskin Meadow was founded with the philosphy that children and teens with diabetes can do anything that other kids can do, including experience wilderness summer camp adventures.
DYF offers a number of different specialty programs from which to choose including: Kids Camp, Teen Camp, Family Camps and a Leaders-in-Training Program.
